Building Evidence-Based Arguments

Description

This unit develops students’ abilities to analyze arguments from a range of perspectives on criminal punishment in the US prison system. Students also learn to develop, write and revise their own evidence-based arguments.

The unit activities are organized into five parts, each associated with a sequence of texts and writing activities. The parts build on each other and can each span a range of instructional time depending on scheduling and student ability.
